My hike to the Sperry Chalet just days before it burned down in 2017
Sperry Chalet is a cluster of log and shale rock buildings 6 miles up the trail from Lake McDonald at Glacier National Park. People can stay at the Chalet and ride horses up the trail. The views from the top of the ridge where Sperry Chalet sits is incredible and breathtaking. The trail isn't easy because of it's length between 12 and 13 miles round trip with elevation gain and some switchbacks near the end. However, the views are totally worth it. Just make sure to bring plenty of water and that your bag isn't too heavy.
The Chalet burned down just days after I visited it in 2017, while filming this video.
