In this vlog, I hike to Comet Falls and Van Trump Park at Mount Rainier National Park in October 2022.
On October 19, 2022 I hiked to Comet Falls for the fourth time ever, and my first trip to the falls in five years. It was as breathtaking as I remember.The hike starts at a small parking lot along the road between Longmire and the bridge over the Nisqually River. From there, it's a short hike to a wooden bridge over Christine Falls. After ascending the trail for 1.8 miles we arrived at Bloucher Falls and Comet Falls, a multi-tiered drop of between 380 and 392 ft! The main drop of the waterfall is reportedly 318 ft. After spending some time at the falls, we decided to go further and head up to Van Trump Park for the first time since 2016. The views up top were amazing!
