The Hidden Valley Trail is a nice 4.9 mile hike with some stunning views.

The story behind the video

I hiked the Hidden Valley Trail in Ogden, Utah for the first time. I'd seen videos of this hike and heard from a few locals that it was one of their favorite hikes to do in the area. So, we set off on the trail at about 8 am on a Sunday. The Hidden Valley Trail is a 4.9 mile trail rated as "Hard" on AllTrails. You get some elevation after turning off the Indian Trail near the mouth of Ogden Canyon, and hike up some switchbacks and steep sections. Nothing is too difficult, however, I found the trail maybe to be in the moderate range, but certainly not the hard rating it was given. As you gain some elevation the views of the northern Wasatch mountains and Ogden are beautiful. You can catch a glimpse of the Great Salt Lake, and there are plenty of wildflowers, dragonflies, and small lizards to see.
