The story behind the video

I went hiking to Comet Falls at Mount Rainier National Park on a 90 degree June day in 2017. There was still a lot of snow on the trails at the 380-foot waterfall on Van Trump Creek.

If you're thinking about making the hike to Comet Falls, go early. The trail gets busy in the afternoon, especially with inexperienced hikers heading up to see the waterfalls. We usually get the parking lot before 7 am. You won't regret it! Comet Falls is one of the best waterfalls in Washington!
