Hiking to the Wind Cave in Logan Canyon, Utah

On October 2, 2020 I hiked to the Wind Cave in Logan Canyon for the first time. The hike was incredible with all of the fall foliage and the nice, cool weather.

The Wind Cave itself was a neat experience. The cave was large with plenty of room for groups to hang out before descending. However, the ground is slightly slanted toward the edge, so just be a little careful about putting stuff like water bottles down.

For those looking to hike to the Wind Cave, the trail is about 4 miles roundtrip with 1,000 feet in elevation gain. The trail is in great condition, although there are a number of shortcuts that have damaged the meadows in spots.

I have embedded my YouTube video from the hike below. The hike really is beautiful, quick, and a lot of fun! Just be sure to arrive early because it is really popular. We did this hike on a Friday at like 7:40 a.m. or so, and the parking lots were mostly full by the time we got back down.

Let me know what you think of the hike if you’ve done it before. What is your favorite part?
